As the mind can cause illness in the body and spirit, so the body can be a vehicle increasing wholeness in the mind and spirit. An increase in wholeness in one of these areas results in an increase in all the other areas. Many retreat houses now offer massage because if the body is in a more balanced and relaxed state, a person can be more aware of how God's Spirit is working in him or her. Massage is $50 per hour.
